Product that protects the concrete from low temperatures; the protection is effective in temperatures down to -6 to -8 º C.

APPLICATIONS

Our anti-freeze can be used for all types of concrete, hydraulic mortars and cement mixes.

NThere is no corrosion problem since it is completely free of chlorides. Allows work to continue in temperatures down to -6º C to -8º C, without the danger of cracks caused by freezing.

PROPERTIES

The anti-freeze effect of our product involves two fundamental points:

• Reduction of the freezing point of the water in the mix, very important in freezing weather.
• When ice inevitably appears at low temperatures, it forms micro-crystals instead of large ice crystals, producing a smaller overall increase in volume. With HORMIN-AT, the pressure in the capillaries in the concrete is lower, reducing the risk of damage.
• Provides greater fluidity in the concrete, allowing its distribution in moulds and coffering, this improving the finish.

COVERAGE

The recommended proportion is 1 to 2% by weight of cement, depending on the circumstances of the work and the temperature.

METHOD OF USE

Used as supplied, without the need for dilution.
Added directly to the concrete mixer or to the water in the mix.
